RetrAIn is a new skills training consultancy launched in partnership with the AI Centre of Excellence at the University of Sussex, with a simple mission: to retrain the private, public and third sector in artificial intelligence (AI). To launch retrAIn, we are offering two taster workshops, held in-person at Platf9rm in Brighton on Wednesday 13th and Thursday 28th November, from 6pm - 9pm. The sessions are primarily aimed at non-technical individuals for whom Artificial Intelligence is likely to form part of their working lives.
These 3 hour cut-price "taster" workshops will provide an introduction to what Artificial Intelligence is and how it can be used in different practical problems. These highly interactive sessions will cover:
- Learning to speak AI: Comprehend the key terminology and concepts
- What AI can (and can’t) do: Identify whether AI is suitable for your problem
- How to make AI work: Understand the requirements to apply AI to real-world problems
- How to evaluate AI performance: Learn how to assess your AI system does what you need it to
- Ethics and privacy in AI: Appreciate the ethical issues associated with AI and consider how to mitigate these.
