One year to go - Crawley Borough Council is offering grants between £10,000 and £50,000 to business that operates in the green-tech or low-carbon sectors.

We’re also excited to share that the Crawley Innovation Centre officially opened this month. The Centre is set to become a thriving hub for innovation across the region. One of our grant recipients, Naked Energy, will soon be moving in—making this a fantastic opportunity to be part of Crawley’s growing green tech community.

Who can apply for the grant?

Businesses that are:

  • Crawley-based and intend to remain in Crawley for at least 5 years
  • Operate in the ‘green-tech’ sector and be able to demonstrate how the proposed project and grant funding would deliver business growth, in terms of jobs created and increased turnover
  • Businesses are to be small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) – including micro-enterprises and start-ups
  • Any grant funding awarded under the GBGF grant scheme cannot result in a breach of the conditions of the UK Subsidy Control Regime on the part of applicant businesses

Grants can fund capital costs and must be spent and claimed by the end of March 2026.

You can find more details about the Greentech Business Grants scheme here. If you’d like to discuss your eligibility or project idea with us, you can book a meeting slot with a member of the team here, or email us at: melody.chiu@carbonlimitingtechnologies.com

To support the grants programme, Crawley Borough Council has appointed Carbon Limiting Technologies (CLT), as delivery partner, who will promote, and manage the grants programme, and provide technical assistance to business grant applicants over the lifetime of the programme.
