Local charity St Catherine’s Hospice has had a difficult year after announcing it needs to make cost savings of £1.5 million to sustain its future hospice services.

About this event Join us for a fun filled evening at the Reed Charity Quiz Night in support of St Catherines Hospice. Test your knowledge and enjoy a night of friendly competition at Gatwick Manor. Reed are inviting our local clients and community to come together for an evening of fun, competition and philanthropy. All monies raised on the night will be donated to St Catherines Hospice. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis. Tables fit 10. A special bar code for your table will be provided on the night for donations to be made to St Catherines Hospice. St Catherine’s Hospice will be holding its much-loved Tree of Light services on Sunday 8 December, giving people in the local community the chance to join together, honour someone special and hang a star of remembrance for a loved one.

‘Tis the season to volunteer! In January 2025, St Catherine’s Hospice is running a Christmas tree collection service in partnership with Just Helping. Now the local hospice is looking for volunteers to help.

The charity supports children under the age of five with cerebral palsy and other motor learning impairments from across the Southeast. Their specialist early intervention services include physiotherapy, music therapy, speech and language therapy along with a community outreach service.

For the first time, employees at the UK’s largest rail company, Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR), have taken part in a companywide fundraising week, helping to raise a total of £15,194 for mental health charity, Mind.

Young Epilepsy are urgently in need of a vehicle for our nurses station, travelling across campus to reach students in an emergency!
