Chambers and Partners, an independent research company who provide highly regarded and prestigious rankings and insight into the world's leading lawyers, has named Rebecca Glazebrook, Noel Ruddy and James Clewlow as top legal professionals for their Corporate/M&A and Real Estate practice.

Rebecca Glazebrook increased her ranking to a Band 2 for her Corporate / M&A practice. "Rebecca Glazebrook maintains a strong practice with a particular emphasis on corporate finance matters. Her broad sector expertise includes deals in the media and technology spaces. Her knowledge, understanding and ability to communicate effectively in simple terms was fantastic." 

Noel Ruddy was mentioned for the first time in the banded listing this year with Band 3 for his Corporate/ M&A practice "Noel Ruddy operates a broad practice including strength in corporate finance transactions and a detailed understanding of receivables finance. He heads the firm's corporate and commercial services teams. He is responsive and knowledgeable." 

And for the first time Managing Partner James Clewlow was ranked within Band 4 for his Real Estate practice "James Clewlow is managing partner and head of the real estate department at the firm. He has considerable experience acting for housing clients, handling a range of matters including acquisitions, disposals and promotion agreements. James is a very knowledgeable and personable professional within the industry and is always available to offer his advice."

The qualities on which lawyers are assessed include: technical legal ability; professional conduct; client service; commercial astuteness; diligence; commitment; and any other qualities most valued by the client. 

In addition to the leading individual rankings, PDT Solicitors are also listed as a Top UK firm for both Corporate/ M&A and Restructuring and Insolvency. PDT's strength in its complex M&A transactions, MBOs and wider corporate advisory work are highlighted as well as its considerable expertise in the media, technology and healthcare sectors, alongside specialist strengths advising on deal work for asset-based lenders. 

PDT's Restructuring/Insolvency team were praised for considerable contentious and non-contentious expertise, advising on a range of corporate and personal insolvency matters. They regularly act for insolvency practitioners on a wide array of matters including breach of directors' duties and misfeasance claims. PDT were also highlighted for being additionally adept at advising on bankruptcy proceedings and for their experience in sale agreements and debt negotiations. William Angas was noted as a key contact at the firm.
