Green Manufacturer Bio Productions Adds Kaleidoscope of Colours to its Charity Credentials

MD Angela Gill, HR Manager Sara Gibb and Sales Administrator Morwenna Bunt from Burgess Hill based Bio-Productions took part in the Colour Obstacle Rush event in Brighton last Saturday 22 June at Brighton Racecourse.

The fundraising trio gave their multicoloured all in support of their designated charity St Peter & St James Hospice. While the event is not marketed as a fundraising platform, the Bio-Productions team paid an entrance fee and in addition pledged to raise £200 each for their chosen charity. So far the philanthropic threesome has raise £700 and are hoping to add to this. Earlier this month Sara Gibb staged her own mini bake off where she traded sweet treats with staff at HQ in return for donations. The Colour Obstacle Rush is an exhilarating event which combines the thrill of an obstacle course over 5km with the atmosphere of a music festival and the fun of coloured powdered runs thrown in. Contestants negotiated 20 obstacles with 8 colour stations and 20 music zones. When it all got too much, they were able to recover from the mania of racing in a special chill out area called 'colour from the skys'.

Sales Administrator, Morwenna Bunt, shared her experience, "The Colour Rush on Saturday was so much fun. It was great to be part of such a huge crowd who were all there for their own personal reasons. As a team we wanted to raise money for a charity that was both local and close to our hearts. I personally ran this for St Peter & St James' as they provided so much help and support throughout the final stages of my Nan's life in 2010. The Colour Rush was a thoroughly enjoyable way to raise awareness and it was a fantastic feeling to be part of such a motivating and supportive team, I'm looking forward to our next challenge!"

Bio-Productions formulates, tests and makes a range of award-winning, environmentally-friendly, industrial cleaning products which are exported around the world. In December 2014 a management buyout by three employees which has led to both UK and international success.
