gdb Members Mid Sussex Wood Recycling have a Community Laundry Project that might benefit you if you work in the Care Sector

The simple premise behind their Community Laundry is to provide a laundry service for organisations involved in the Care sector (Hospice/Palliative/Charity) which is cheaper than a commercial laundry, thus allowing them to reduce costs and have more money available to provide care.

If you are a Service Manager and are also a gdb member, Mid Sussex Wood Recycling would like to contact you and determine the Laundry Costs then determine if there is a cheaper service. 

Once this exercise is complete, and if MSWR are able to provide the cheaper service, then they will proceed with the investment for the laundry installation.

If we can compete on price then additional Social and Environmental benefits are:

  • We intend to provide local employment for disadvantaged adults.
  • We will be using biomass energy to create the hot water and heating for the laundry.
  • We intend to use Electric Vehicles for collecting and returning the laundry in order to reduce local NOx emissions.
