Coast to Capital has been informed by the ESIF Managing Authorities that a combination of the recent 'Brexit', the change of Prime Minister and the Cabinet changes resulting in a new Secretary of State has led to a 'pause' on issuing new calls and on signing new Grant Funding Agreements (GFA) nationwide. This applies to European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), European Agricultural Funding for Regional Development (EAFRD) and the European Social Fund (ESF) direct calls.
Please note that any ESF opt-in calls including those currently going through the Skills Funding Agency (SFA), the Big Funding Lottery (BFL) and the Department of Work and Pension (DWP) are carrying on progressing as per schedule.
Please note that the ERDF 'July' call window, which should have opened in July and was expected to close on 30th September, has been postponed. No future date has been confirmed yet whilst we await a Ministerial decision. Coast to Capital held a consultation event on 7th July to inform the development of future ERDF specifications. As soon as our ESIF Committee gets the green light from the Managing Authority these should be able to be progressed quickly.
Regarding the EAFRD funding, a new call window is expected in the Autumn. Meanwhile, the LEP will be carrying on developing the pipeline across all three funds and we are encouraging stakeholders to continue working up project ideas and cementing partnerships.
We shall keep stakeholders informed of any new information coming out from Central Government on the new window of calls and GFA signature.
