Hear from Tim Norwood, Chief Planning Officer at London Gatwick, who will reflect on the opportunities that the airport's future growth plans will create for the local economy. The innovative and low-impact plan to bring the airport's existing Northern Runway into routine use alongside the Main Runway would drive growth from increased tourism, trade, supply-chain, and other business opportunities. By investing in its long-term future, London Gatwick will enhance the crucial economic role it plays by creating around 14,000 new jobs and contribute £1 billion into the region's economy every year.
